Governors Mansion

On Thursday Tabs had the opportunity to visit the Governor's Mansion.

She and 7 of her classmates sang as various Governors and dignitaries from China arrived for the luncheon hosted by Governor and Mrs. Herbert.

Zhao Hong Zhu, party secretary of Zhejiang province, stopped to speak briefly with the kids. He also posed for some pictures. You can read about it here: Deseret News or the Salt Lake Tribune

The kids loved Mrs. Herbert. When she told them she lived in the Mansion, they all replied "No fair!"

The children also sang during the luncheon.

I think the kids were more excited for the ice cream afterwards than the experience itself.

To be fair, it was good ice cream.

But was it as good as bridging the gap between Utah government and China to hopefully secure our economic future together?

Possibly.

After all, who doesn't love mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone?
